Carbon Market and Trading
As globally nations become more concerned about GHG emissions, they are adopting various measures including carbon pricing to limit emissions. The share of global GHG emissions covered by carbon pricing schemes was increased, from 4% in 2010 to over 20% in 2017, accounting to roughly 40% of global GDP in 2019. With more and more companies committing to net zero targets, a growing number of companies are using internal carbon pricing to reduce emissions across their value chains (World Bank 2020)
